McCormick has lost races for Rahway mayor and Union County Clerk.  She sought the Democratic nomination for governor in 2017 but did not file petitions.   McCormick filed today with 1,547 signatures under he slogan “Democrats for Change.”

Matt Truong

Matt Truong is the CEO of Forest of Life, a company that creates botanic gardens where a tree can be infused by the cremated remains of an individual, filed as a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

The Jersey City resident, who says Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan once promoted him as a possible candidate for Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, faces Brian Goldberg, Bob Hugin, Antonio Sabas and Dana Wefer in the GOP primary.  There appears to be a long history of litigation against him, including his 2014 disbarment in New York.

Truong filed with 1,069 signatures using the slogan: “Make America World Greatest Partner.”
