Rep. Mikie Sherrill has tapped former Rep. Gwen Graham’s (D-Fl.) finance director to run her re-election campaign.
Elizabeth Davis, who also served as finance director for Graham’s gubernatorial campaign and former Rep. Patrick Murphy’s (D-Fl.) Senate campaign against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), will manage Sherrill’s bid for a second term in the House.
Sherrill will likely face former Senate Finance Committee staffer Rosemary Becchi in the general.
The congresswoman indicated that her official campaign kickoff would come soon after her work with the House Armed Services Committee slowed down.
“Soon is probably the answer,” Sherrill said. “We just have to be in-district to do it. We’re kind of right in the middle of the National Defense Authorization Act, so that’s kind of keeping us here a lot.”
