Cory Booker was in Florida today campaigning for his Democratic Senate colleague, Bill Nelson. Nelson, elected in 2000, faces a challenge from Republican Gov. Rick Scott.
The New Jersey Senator appeared at a fundraiser for Nelson in Tallahassee at the home of Altha F. Manning, a former deputy commissioner of Education and interim vice president at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. The event sought contributions for Nelson from $250 to $2,700.
He also met with FAMU students.
Booker is in wide demand this year as a campaigner and fundraiser for Democratic candidates nationally.
