Schepisi slaps Menendez on Sanctuary Cities

‘He’s never held the law in high regard before’

An Assemblywoman from Bergen County has criticized U.S. Senator Bob Menendez’s support of sanctuary cities – and took a shot on his ethical issues.

“It’s no surprise that Senator Bob Menendez supports illegal Sanctuary Cities because he’s never held the law in high regard before,” said Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale). “Unlike Senator Menendez, who has failed for decades to reform our immigration laws, Bob Hugin will take a leading role in passing comprehensive immigration reform that secures our borders and bans illegal Sanctuary Cities. Bob Hugin also supports a path to citizenship for children who were brought to the country illegally by their parents, otherwise known as ‘Dreamers.’”

Menendez was a strong opponent of President Trump’s executive order that sought to block state and local sanctuary city policies.
