Booker endorses Harrison for Congress

U.S. Senator Cory Booker is taking sides in the race for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd district, endorsing Brigid Callahan Harrison two days before the Atlantic County Democratic convention.

“I am proud to endorse Brigid Harrison for Congress.  Brigid has what it takes to help ensure everyone has access to quality health care, support the creation of good paying jobs, and restore dignity back to New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District,” Booker said.  “I look forward to working with Brigid to bring people together and deliver real results for New Jerseyans.”

Harrison also has the endorsement of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez.

This is Booker’s second foray into New Jersey congressional endorsements.   Last week, he headlined a campaign rally and fundraiser for Rep. Donald Norcross (D-Camden) in the 1st district.
