As DeFilippis struggles, Sette-led group raises $75k for Hugin

It’s almost like a tale of two parties.

While Morris County Republican Chairman Ron DeFilippis struggles to raise money for the county organization, his predecessor and his opponent raised over $75,000 last night for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin.

Former Morris County GOP Chairman John Sette organized a host committee to raise money for Hugin that included Rob Zwigard.  Zwigard lost to DeFilippis by four votes in June.

The event reportedly netted $71,000, which stands in sharp contrast to the money losing event DeFilippis organized last winter with Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld.  Instead, the big draw at the $250-per-person event was former Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.

Sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that DeFilippis and his political director, former Assemblyman Dick Kamin, were invited to serve on the host committee but did not respond.

  1. Once again everyone knows Frank Ludwigg is Lou Valori. Valori is just upset that he got tossed out of town by the people who can’t stand him in a county race and his council race. Valori failed miserably is securing Republican rule in parsippany because hes a terrible politician and a joke.

  2. Also Lou Valori (Frank Ludwigg) is the same guy who blackmailed and sued his own mayor to only turn around in a short time and run for re-election with him while trying to screw the people who helped him along the way. Which eventually he turned around and screwed the taxpayer’s of his own town. Valori has an extremely low level of intelligence.
