In the minutes following President Donald Trump’s acquittal by the U.S. Senate, Republican State Chairman Douglas Steinhardt took aim at four Democratic House members who voted for impeachment.
“America and President Trump are all moving forward. Our nation’s economy is growing, problems are being solved and our country is secure,” Steinhardt said. “Now, New Jersey needs their liberal Congressional quartet of Josh Gottheimer, Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski, and Mikie Sherrill to get on board or prepare to get voted out.”
Steinhardt called the four House members “an impediment to progress in Washington.”
“They have spent their entire term pursuing impeachment and playing politics, not solving problems and representing their districts and our state,” Steinhardt said. “New Jersey deserves honest answers to our state’s real problems, and our current delegation of Democrats is not delivering.”
