The American Federation of Teachers launched roughly $120,000 worth of negative ads against Republican House candidates Seth Grossman, Assemblyman Jay Webber and Rep Tom MacArthur on Tuesday.
The ads hit the three candidates on their supposed support for the American Health Care Act, for which MacArthur wrote an amendment.
The bill died in the Senate after passing the House last year after an analysis Congressional Budget Office showed it would move millions off health insurance and likely raise prices for some consumers, particularly those with preexisting conditions.
It does not appear Webber or Grossman have ever supported the doomed law.
The union is paying $39,917 for each candidates’ version of the ad, according to FEC filings.
