Union County Democrats have postponed their screening committee meeting tonight due to the snow emergency.

The vote will to pick organization candidates for State Assembly in the 21st district has been rescheduled for Sunday.

That’s what happened last year when the screening committee was postponed after a snowstorm.  Malinowski defeated Linda Weber by one-vote to secure the Union organization line.

The deciding vote in that race was cast by Garwood Democratic municipal chair Hugh Sinclair, who also has votes in the 21st district contest.

Seven Democrats are vying for the chance to take on Republican incumbents Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) and Nancy Munoz (R-Summit): Carlos Gomez, Stacey Gunderman, Lisa Mandelblatt, Ileana Montes, Goutam Jois, Jill LaZare, and Kyla Rodger.
