Ralph Marra, a former acting U.S. Attorney who spent 25 years as a federal prosecutor, has joined Calcagni Kanefsky, a New Jersey law firm that specializes in litigation and investigations

Marra took over as New Jersey’s top federal prosecutor when Chris Christie left in November 2008 to begin the process of running for governor.  He served until Paul Fishman took over in October 2009.

“Ralph is a tremendous lawyer and tenacious advocate with deep practical know-how, said senior partner Thomas Calcagni.  “His exceptional government background makes him a natural fit for the sensitive, high-stakes matters out clients face.”

After leaving the Justice Department, Marra spent more than eight years as the general counsel to the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.  He was replaced last month when the new CEO, former Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto, decided to bring in his own person.”

Calcagni and his partner, Eric Kanefsky, both served as Assistant U.S. Attorneys and held posts in the Christie administration.
