Standing up for Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise are a freeholder, two Jersey City councilmen, and a group of former elected officials from Jersey City.

Former Jersey City Mayor Jeramiah Healy, Freeholder Jerry Walker, Jersey City Councilmen Rich Boggiano and Michael Yun, former Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, former Assemblyman Sean Connors, former Jersey City Councilmen Peter Brennan and Ben Lopez, and Jersey City Board of Education trustee Amy DeGise announced today that they would back DeGise for re-election in 2019.

“Tom DeGise has been my friend for a long time, but he’s also been a true friend to Jersey City and a leader we can always count on,” said Healy.  “Tom restored dignity and honor to county government and there is no one better to continue serving Hudson County than him.”

Yun gave DeGise credit for transforming Hudson “from the most corrupt county to the most progressive county in the State of New Jersey.

“The residents of Jersey City know that and will show it next June,” Yun said.
