Anti-DeGise group expands support

A group of Hudson County elected officials said today that they would back a move to replace Tom DeGise as County Executive in 2019.

Assemblywoman Angela McKnight (D-Jersey City);  Freeholders Bill O’Dea, Tilo Rivas, Joel Torres, Jerry Walker; County Clerk E. Junior Maldonado; County Register Diane Coleman; and Jersey Councilmembers Joyce Watterman, Daniel Rivera, Denise Ridley, Jermaine Robinson.

“Today, we stand with State Senator Brian P. Stack, Mayor Steven M. Fulop, Mayor Felix Roque and Mayor Ravinder Bhalla, as we collectively seek change in the leadership of Hudson County government.  As representatives from various and diverse communities, we look forward to working with a county government that represents our ideals and we will commit the necessary resources to ensuring that such change occurs in the office of the Hudson County Executive,” the officials said in a statement.
