The follow endorsements were announced today:

Clean Water Action has endorsed Democrat Christine Clarke for State Assembly in the 26th district.

“We get more disturbing news every day about the consequences of climate change in New Jersey,” Fortgang said. “Rebuilding after extreme weather, cleaning up after flooding, remediating polluted storm water, closing down beaches and lakes—these consequences cost New Jersey billions of dollars. Our environmental crisis is an economic crisis for our taxpayers.”

Garden State Equality has endorsed incumbent  Anthony Verrelli for State Assembly in the 15th legislative district.

“I will always stand up for the LGBTQIA+ community,” Verrelli said. “All New Jerseyans deserve to be treated with respect and dignity – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We must do everything in our power to ensure that the LGBTQIA+ community is protected and receives fair treatment under the law.”

Health and Professional Allied Employees has endorsed incumbent  Anthony Verrelli for State Assembly

“When we New Jerseyans are in need of care at our hospitals, we rely on the nurses, social workers, therapists, technicians, medical researchers, and other healthcare professionals who make up HPAE,” Verrelli said. “These professionals do work every day that is both physically taxing and that requires a mastery of clinical best-practices.”

The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 has endorsed incumbent  Anthony Verrelli for State Assembly

“I am honored to be endorsed by Operating Engineers Local 825,” Verrelli said. “I will continue to work towards our shared goals of safeguarding and enhancing workers’ rights, modernizing our infrastructure, and renewing our commitment to developing cleaner, more sustainable methods by which to meet New Jersey’s energy needs.”

The National Association of Social Workers New Jersey chapter has endorsed incumbent  Anthony Verrelli for State Assembly

“Social workers support New Jerseyans every day. When we need physical and mental healthcare, information about community resources, or to start a conversation about getting help, we rely on our social workers,” Verrelli said. “The 6,500-plus members of the NASW – New Jersey Chapter help to assure that the most vulnerable New Jerseyans have the opportunity to live healthier, happier lives.”

The New Jersey PBA has endorsed Democrat Laura Fortgang for State Assembly in the 26th district.

“We have had the opportunity to listen to Laura Fortgang’s vision for New Jersey and for law enforcement throughout the state, which is why we are proud to endorse her for New Jersey General Assembly in the 26th District.  It is important that we have leaders like Laura down in Trenton fighting to help our members, so she has our full support this November 5th.  Laura has campaigned hard on a theme of moving New Jersey forward, and we look forward to helping her become victorious on Election Day,” said PBA President Patrick Colligan.

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #39 endorsed Democrat Darrin Russo for Somerset County Sheriff Friday.

“On behalf of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Officers Association FOP #39, we are extremely honored to endorse Darrin Russo for Sheriff of Somerset County,” Lodge #39 president Dominick Albanese said. “Darrin supports and understands both our and the community’s needs and concerns. Our members believe in all the positive changes Darrin will bring to our agency. We look forward to the experienced leadership of Darrin Russo as our Sheriff.”
