Buttigieg raises $75k at Summit event

Leader in Iowa caucus makes 2nd fundraising visit to New Jersey

Pete Buttigieg, the apparent winner of the Iowa Caucus, raised about $75,000 at a New Jersey fundraiser today, the New Jersey Globe has learned.

About 100 people packed the Summit home of Nick Pappas and Mary Pehrach at an event hosted by MWW vice president Jennifer Holdsworth, Genova Burns partner Raj Parikh, and 2017 Assembly candidate Lacey Rzeszowski.

Rzeszowski said last month that tickets ranged from $250 to $1,500.

Buttigieg was in New Jersey on December 12 for a fundraising appearance in Bergen Count that resulted in a six-figure haul.

The first test of Buttigieg’s grassroots strength in New Jersey will come on Sunday when Hunterdon County Democrats hold a convention to award their organization line.
