Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden netted about $2.5 million tonight at a virtual fundraiser hosted by Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy and featured a performance by New Jerseyan Jon Bon Jovi.

“We all need to do our part to help elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a success. Phil and I know that Joe and Kamala share our values and our commitment to making both New Jersey and our nation stronger and fairer,” the First Lady said.  “With the election right around the corner we are excited to take part in this campaign.”

The fundraiser was for the Biden Action Fund.

The event was first reported in a tweet by the New York Times’ Shane Goldmacher.

Biden brought in another $100,000 last night at a fundraiser hosted by Rep. Josh Gottheimer.
