Cory Booker has dropped below 1% in a national Quinnipiac University poll released this morning.
Elizabeth Warren now leads Joe Biden, 27%-25%, in a race that is a statistical dead heat among Democrats and independents who lean Democratic. Bernie Sanders is at 16%, and Pete Buttigieg is at 7%.
“After trailing Biden by double digits since March in the race for the Democratic nomination, Warren catches Biden,” said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy. “We now have a race with two candidates at the top of the field, and they’re leaving the rest of the pack behind.”
Booker has national favorables of 25%-36% and is at 49%-15% among Democrats.
Warren is at 74%-9% among Democrats and Biden’s Democratic favorables are at 75%=16%.
The good news for Booker is that 63% of Democrats say they might change their mind about which candidate to support.
The Quinnipiac Poll was conducted between September 19-23 and has a margin or error of +/-4.9%.
The End.
