Sam Markstein, the political director for Bob Hugin’s 2018 U.S. Senate campaign in New Jersey, has joined the Republican Jewish Coalition as National Political Director.

Markstein worked on Kim Guadagno’s 2017 campaign for governor, on Chris Christie’s 2016 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, and for Rep. Scott Garrett.  He is a 2015 graduate of Johns Hopkins University.

The Republican Jewish Coalition is chaired by former U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (R-Minnesota).  Their political action committee spent $671,483 during the 2018 mid-term elections, supporting Reps. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River), Leonard Lance (R-Clinton Township), and Hugin.

The presence of Markstein could help attract money to Republican congressional candidates in his home state next year.
