Former Vice President Joseph Biden raised $246,488 from New Jersey donors since he announced his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination on April 25, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Favorite son Cory Booker had a home state fundraising haul of $795,580 during the identical time period.  Since announcing his run for president last February, the two-term U.S. Senator has raised $2,814,323 from New Jersey – his top producing donor state.

There are some recognizable names on the list of New Jersey Biden donors: Ted Wells, an esteemed criminal defense lawyer who is representing the state in a lawsuit filed by Democratic powerbroker George Norcross and his companies,  gave $2,800 to Biden.

Wells has also maxed out to Booker, and has written checks to Pete Buttigieg, Bill de Blasio, Kirstin Gillibrand, Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar.

Biden took in $2,800 from Jim McQueeny, who runs a top public relations firm and is one of the political strategists who participates with Gov. Phil Murphy’s staff on weekly Inside/Outside calls.

So did Leon Sokol, a famed New Jersey attorney who has represented the New Jersey Senate and State Assembly for more of the last 44 years.

Former State Sen. Gordon MacInnes (D-Morris Township), recently retired as the president of New Jersey Policy Perspective, contributed $2,500.  His wife, Blair MacInnes, the 2003 Democratic State Senate candidate against Tony Bucco (R-Boonton) in the 25th district, gave the same amount – and sent $500 to Amy Klobuchar.

Onetime New Jersey political powerhouse Orin Kramer, who is raising money for Buttigieg
, sent Biden a $1,500 check.

Biden received $500 from Frank Robinson, the former executive director of the New Jersey Assembly Democrats, and $250 from former Corzine economic advisor Gary Rose.

Rose has also contributed $500 to Booker, and sent $250 each to Michael Bennet and Tim Ryan.

Money for Biden has even crossed political aisles: former Mercer County Republican Chair Nancy Wesley (in a Lady MacBeth sort of way), who resigned in 2011 after fighting local GOP leaders and Gov. Chris Christie, has made 43 separate contributions to Biden that total $635.
