Vigilante is new Gloucester GOP chairman

Citing time commitments, Jim Philbin resigned last week as the Gloucester County Republican Chairman.

His replacement is Jackie Vigilante, a Mullica Hill attorney.  Vigilante will serve the remaining year of Philbin’s unexpired term.

Vigilante is a law partner of Niki Trunk, who won 45% of the as Senate President Steve Sweeney’s Republican opponent in 2013.

Republicans have not won a countywide race in Gloucester County since 2010, although the GOP has made gains in municipal races over the last few years.
