Rev. Reginald Atkins, a Roselle councilman and Democratic municipal chairman, has been fined $2,581 by the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission for late reporting of more than $33,000 in campaign contributions to his 2013 school board bid.
Atkins also acknowledged the late reporting of campaign expenditures and for failing to properly report certain technical information regarding his donors.
The senior pastor and founder of Zion Family Worship Center Church, Atkins was the top vote-getter in the Board of Education race. He was elected councilman in 2016.
