Thomas Kelaher, the 88-year-old former mayor of Toms River, is unopposed in his bid for re-election to another four-year term as the Republican State Committeeman from Ocean County.
Kelaher, who retired as mayor in 2019, will seek his fourth term on the State Committee.
He was elected in 2009, after Joseph E. Buckalew stepped down, and was re-elected in 2013 and 2107.
In the recent race for GOP State Chairman, Kelaher backed Michael Lavery in his successful campaign against Bob Hugin.
County Commissioner Virginia Haines, 74, the incumbent state committeewoman, is also seeking re-election.
Haines backed Hugin.
