Morris GOP freeholders release slew of endorsements

By Nikita Biryukov, January 11 2019 12:14 pm

Morris County Republican Freeholders Doug Cabana, Tom Mastrangelo and Kathy DeFillippo announced a slew of endorsements from local officials on Friday, preparing for a contested election in 2019 that follows Rep. Mikie Sherrill sweeping the county Democratic freeholder candidates failing to do the same.

Among the officials are 23 mayors from towns in the county and more than 100 members of the county’s municipal legislative bodies are among the officials that backed the incumbent freeholders.

“Common Sense Fiscal Republicans with proven records of accomplishment, Freeholders Cabana, Mastrangelo and DeFillippo, has guided the county to annual fiscal responsible budgets including multiple zero-percent tax increases and reduced the county debt by tens of millions of dollars while continuing to deliver responsive, quality services to all the residents of the county,” the freeholders said in a joint statement.
