Legislators back Suleiman for re-election

By David Wildstein, March 20 2018 1:30 am

The bandwagon of Democratic leaders supporting Atlantic County Chairman Michael Suleiman for re-election grew bigger on Monday with the endorsements of Assemblymen Vince Mazzeo and John Armato.  Suleiman seems like a lock for another term.

“The last two years we’ve seen record turnout at our convention, thanks in no small part to the effort of County Chairman Michael Suleiman along with Vice Chairwoman Mary Slomine,” Mazzeo and Armato said in a Facebook post. “Mike’s efforts have not gone unnoticed and we look forward to supporting him for a second term as ACDC Chair later this year.”

Rumors that former State Sen. Colin Bell would challenge Suleiman turned out not to be true.  Bell endorsed the incumbent last week.
