Filing deadline today for some races

In New Jersey, it seems like there is always  some election deadline.

Today is the filing deadline for non-partisan municipal candidates running in the November general election.  Petitions must be filed with the municipal clerk by 4 PM.

There are non-partisan municipal races in November in Bayonne, Bradley Beach, Highlands, Hillside, Hoboken, Irvington, Robbinsville, Sparta, Tinton Falls, Vernon, West Windsor, and Wildwood.

The deadline for filling vacancies for partisan office for the 2019 general election is on September 12, although more often than not, New Jersey judges view that deadline as fungible.
