Democrats take Roselle Park mayor

The new mayor of Roselle Park is a Democrat, Joseph Signorello.  He defeated incumbent Carl Hokanson, a former Democrat who ran for re-election as an independent, and Republican councilman William Fahoury.

Signorello received 2,340 votes, easily beating Fahoury (1,180) and Hokanson (773).

Democratic councilman Joseph Petrosky was re-elected, and Robert Mathieu defeated Republican incumbent Thomas Shipley.
