Cahill beats Kratovil

Longtime New Brunswick Mayor James Cahill handed Charlie Kratovil, an activist and editor of a community newspaper making an independent run, a stark defeat Tuesday.

Cahill beat Kratovil by 54 points, 77%-23%.

The mayor received 4,995 votes, while 1480 cast ballots for Kratovil.
