Charlie Kratovil, a weekly newspaper editor and local government critic, says he has qualified as an independent candidate for Mayor in the general election against seven-term incumbent James Cahill.
“It’s always a victory when voters have a choice, and the choice couldn’t be more clear this November: four more years of the same out-of-touch political machine, or a new administration that will finally put the people of New Brunswick first,” Kratovil said.
He is he editor of New Brunswick Today.
Cahill was elected in 1991 after then-Senate President John Lynch declined to seek re-election to a second term.
