State Sen. Joe Cryan (D-Union) says he will vote to confirm Matt Platkin as New Jersey’s next Attorney General.
“Matt has demonstrated an ability to build relationships. He ran his office with professionalism,” Cryan said. “He has a vision for New Jersey than make me confident in his ability to be a great attorney general for New Jersey, and Ill be happy to support him.”
Platkin served a Gov. Phil Murphy’s chief counsel from 2018 to 2020.
Cryan joins a Central Jersey block of eight senators who have praised Murphy’s nomination of Platkin, including one Republican who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield).
