Pat Quattrocchi to challenge Linda Carter

Republican seeks to avenge her husband’s 2018 loss

By David Wildstein, March 22 2019 9:07 pm

Former Garwood Mayor Patricia Quattrocchi will try to do what her husband could not: win a State Assembly seat in the heavily Democratic 22nd district.

Linda Carter (D-Plainfield) won a special election last November following the death of longtime Assemblyman Jerry Green.  She defeated John Quattrocchi by a 59%-31% margin.

John Quattrocchi had run for Assembly in 2017 and ran 14,081 votes behind Green.

Patricia Quattrocchi ran for Union County freeholder in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2017 and 2018, and for mayor of Garwood in 2010.  She has never faced Carter before.
