LD16 Dems in disagreement over ping pong

Freiman claims he won, Zwicker claims no one did

Incumbents in the 16th legislative district are having a disagreement.

They can’t come to terms with who won the ping pong game at the center of their newest TV spot, which features Democratic Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-Hillsborough) and Andrew Zwicker (D-South Brunswick) talking about issues while paying ping pong.

Who won?

“I did, of course,” Freiman said Monday.

Though he didn’t claim to have won, Zwicker disagreed.

“There was no winner. We worked on this together,” he said. “It wasn’t a competitive game.”

Neither assemblyman is seen scoring any points in the 30-second ad, which pays homage to Zwicker’s day job as a scientist and Freiman’s business career.
