Malinowski: Bramnick website ‘very concerning’

Minority leader still facing fire over law firm’s advertising willingness to discredit sexual accusers

Rep. Tom Malinowski said he was concerned by claims on the website of Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick’s law firm that said it would seek to discredit sexual assault accusers.

“I find it very concerning,” Malinowski said. “I recognize that it’s the job of lawyers to defend everybody, but to advertise to boldly that your mission is to discredit victims of sexual assault, I find concerning.”

Over the past week, Bramnick has faced fire for language on his website that suggested his firm would seek to impugn the credibility of sexual assault sexual assault victims in defending its clients.

The page hosting that language, and several others, have since been pulled, though Spanish versions still appear on the site.

Bramnick said Monday that an outside firm was responsible for the language. He did not provide a timeline for their return.
