Jill LaZare has asked the Union County Prosecutor to investigate a pair of negative mailers attacking her opponents in the Democratic State Assembly primary in the 21st district.
The mailings, which reportedly hit mailboxes in Westfield and Cranford today, attacks LaZare’s two opponents, Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman, and does not carry the disclaimer required by state law to identify who paid for the message.
“My campaign had nothing to do with these negative mailers and no advance knowledge of them,” said LaZare. “At this time, we are aware of two different mailings that have been sent to two Union County towns, and I have personally called the Union County Prosecutor’s Office to report this for investigation.”
One of the mailers refers to Gunderman as “utterly unqualified” and calls her “a puppet of the corrupt Norcross-Sweeney machine” who “won’t support Democratic Gov. (Phil) Murphy’s priorities.”
It’s an unusual attack in a Union-Somerset-Morris Democratic primary where South Jersey Democratic leader George Norcross and Senate President Steve Sweeney have little name recognition among primary voters.
In a statement issued tonight, the LaZare campaign said it hoped voters will make their choice based on the qualifications of the candidates “and that these illicit negative mailers will have no influence on the outcome of this election.
“I am running a positive campaign” LaZare said. “I think our campaign is going extraordinarily well. We’ve got a lot of momentum. We have to ask the question, why anyone would do these negative mailers and throw a monkey wrench into our campaign? I hope the Union County Prosecutor’s Office will get to the bottom of this quickly. “
A spokesman for the Mandelblatt and Gunderman campaign said that the mailings echoed statements made by LaZare.
“If you attended any joint public appearance during the Democratic Primary, this sleazy mailer from today would come as no surprise because the very same rhetoric has been spewed by Jill Lazare time and again,” said Kyle Easter, the Mandelblatt/Gunderman man campaign manager. “The idea that she is outraged and calling for an investigation is laughable at best. This is a desperate and bizarre attempt to get attention from a perennial candidate facing another defeat in 10 days.”
The New Jersey Globe has obtained one of the two mailers referred to by LaZare.

This has Norcross , Sweeney Steve Ayscue blueprint
This is how Norcross ad Ayscue slander people
A class action for false light, defamation and slander need to be filed along with subpoenas, cameras and finger prints. They must start prosecuting the Camden county political machine and his dirty henchman
Norcross uses people to defame and slander
Norcross, Sweeney and Ayscue have hired people to file complaints without signing off in them. He has the local controlled police departments act like they were controlling the investigation and then sends the unsigned complaint to Camden county. He has a prosecutor and police department go into a state office to make a false arrest based on an unsigned, unsubstantiated complaint. This is criminal to harass and cause a person to lose their job and reputation that Norcross has the incident written about by Jim Walsh; Patch and nj.com
He ruins people’s lies by having thousands of backlinks purchased to keep the story page parked at the top of Google to harm that person’s character based on a bunch of
Manufactured lies.
One of the people he hired was a former tax manager for US Visions who was there to conceal documents for George back when the SEC was investigating him and is Visions. The woman and her brother Anthony are both heavily connected to the Camden county machine
Another case was fake lawsuits filed and sent to CEOs and directors of a candidates job.
This all needs to be investigated by the justice department and Murphy
just trace the bulk mailer number
They used first class stamps.
