Corrado open to decriminalization

Senator won’t decide until she sees the final bill

State Sen. Kristin Corrado is open to supporting marijuana decriminalization.

Corrado, the only Republican woman in the Senate, said she wouldn’t be ready to make her decision on decriminalization until she saw the final version of the bill.

She said she’s looking at decriminalization with a more favorable eye than she did marijuana legalization.

Another Republican, State Sen. Michael Testa, declined to comment on decriminalization without having seen the final bill.

Testa was sworn into the Senate Thursday.
