Rep. Albio Sires on Jerry Green

Rep. Albio Sires (D-West New York), a former Assembly Speaker, released a statement this afternoon on the death of Assemblyman Jerry Green:

“I am saddened to hear about the death of my friend Assemblyman Jerry Greene who passed away yesterday.  The residents of New Jersey and Union County lost a long time civil servant. I had the pleasure of serving with Jerry in the Legislature and then working together with him as the Chairman of the Union County Democratic Organization. My sympathies go out to his wife Wanda and his entire family. He was a champion for all people and believed that everyone should have the chance to realize their potential to the fullest.”
