Charles Gruber, a Runnemede councilman from 1970 to 1987, died on July 3. He was 88. Gruber was a councilman when Runnemede resident Jim Florio was an assemblyman and congressman. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
Dawn Swallow, who spent more than 30 years with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, died on July 11 after a two-year battle with cancer. She was 58.
