Jim Webber, father of assemblyman, dies at 84

Jim Webber, the father of Assemblyman Jay Webber, died on January 4.  He was 84.

Webber spent more than 30 years as an assistant branch manager with Manufacturer’s Hanover Trust.  He served as a Morris County Republican Committeeman and as a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Webber was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his son, Webber is survived by his daughter-in-law, Johanna, his eight grandchildren, and his sister,

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home in Clifton.  A funeral service is scheduled for 10 AM Thursday at The Chapel at Cedar Crest in Pompton Plains.

In lieu of flowers, the Webber family has asked that donations be made to St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.
