Incumbent councilman dies

Daniel Kadish, a Vernon township councilman, passed away on February 25 during heart surgery. He was 79.  Kadish served as a councilman from 1994 to 2000, and again since 2011.  His term was due to expire at the end of this year.

Hazel Taylor, who was a senior docket clerk for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office, died on February 26.  She was 79.

Robert Poplasky, a retired Essex County sheriff’s captain, died on March 1.  He was 80.

Eileen Mulligan, a former violations clerk for the Bloomfield Municipal Court, passed away on March 1.  She was 99.
