In Memoriam: Former judge, retired union leader

Robert Tarleton, a former New Jersey Superior Court Judge, died on October 29.  He was 92.  He was nominated for the bench by Gov. Brendan Byrne in 1980 and served in the law, Appellate and Chancery Divisions before his retirement in 1997.

Jack Bertolino, a union leader who served as the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) Director of Field Services, died on October 21.  He was 89.  Bertolino worked for NJEA from 1957 until his retirement in 1993.  He also served ten years as a Commissioner of the New Jersey public Employee Relations Commission (PERC).
