Ex-mayor dies at 94; county committeewoman at 105

Ervin Hoag, a former mayor of Chatham Township, passed away on May 19.  He was 94.  During World War II, he served on the U.S. Marine Corps.  Hoag served as chief of the Chatham Township Fire Department, as president of the school board, and as mayor in 1971 and 1972.

Leda Gigante Tarsia, who served as a county committeewoman in Garfield, died on May 16.  She was 105.
