Ed Kasuba, a fixture in New Jersey politics during his 33 years as a reporter for KYW-AM 1060 News, died on August 1. He was 74.
Kasuba reported on South Jersey for KYW from 1975 to 2008, voluntarily retiring so that others might avoid layoffs.
He worked at a radio station in Indiana before moving to Winslow Township to take his job at the Philadelphia-based station. KYW’s sister station is 1010 WINS in New York.
After his retirement, Kasuba became a spokesman for the Delaware River Port Authority. He also taught journalism students at Rowan University and worked at Salmon Ventures, a consulting firm headed by former Assemblyman Ed Salmon (D-Millville).
Kasuba also served as the KYW shop steward for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
