Assemblywoman Joann Downey (D-Freehold) issued a statement this afternoon on the death of Assemblyman Jerry Green:

“Our thoughts are with the Green family during this very difficult time. Assemblyman Green exemplified everything a public official should aspire to: commitment to his fellow New Jerseyans, a strong moral compass and a passion for public service. His legacy in the Assembly will undoubtedly live on for years to come.”
