The legislative panel investigating the Murphy administration’s hiring of Al Alvarez will hold two meetings next week to move through a long list of witnesses, according to a report by NJ Advance Media for NJ.com.

The New Jersey Legislative Select Oversight Committee will meet on January 8 and again on January 10.

Murphy’s outgoing chief of staff, Peter Cammarano, is expected to resume his testimony on Tuesday.  He had appeared before the committee in December before the panel broke for the holidays.

The New Jersey Globe first reported last month that the committee had invited five members of the governor’s staff, as well as New Jersey Schools Construction Development Authority executive director Lizette Delgado-Polanco, to testify.

Deputy chief of staff Justin Braz appeared last month.  Chief counsel Matt Platkin has a scheduling conflict and it is not immediately clear when he will be called.

According to the NJ Advance Media report, the committee will hear from five witnesses next week: Murphy transition chairman Jose Lozano; campaign counsel Jonathan Berkon; transition counsel Raj Parikh; Parimal Garg, the governor’s deputy chief counsel; and Heather Taylor, the chief ethics officer in the governor’s office.
