Three Republican legislators from Ocean County have endorsed Bill Spadea for governor.
“New Jersey needs fresh leadership in the Governor’s office. Bill is a political outsider who has spent his entire career in media listening to the people of New Jersey,” said State Sen. Carmen Amato (R-Berkeley), who represents the 9th legislative district. “There is no candidate better qualified to take the concerns of the residents and deliver results than Bill Spadea.”
Amato’s running mates, Assemblymen Brian Rumpf (R-Little Egg Harbor) and Greg Myhre (R-Stafford), said New Jerseyans are “concerned about runaway inflation, illegal immigration and making our neighborhoods safe again.”
“Bill is the best candidate to ensure that we address all of these concerns and make New Jersey into a great state to live, work and retire,” Rumpf and Myhre said.
Jack Ciattarelli has won the endorsement of Holmdel Mayor Brian Foster, GOP Municipal Chair Marcy McMullen, Deputy Mayor Kim LaMountain, and Township Committeemen Rocco Impreveduto, Joe Romano, and DJ Luccarelli.
“Jack is committed to fighting overdevelopment and keeping our community safe. He gets that we can’t just rubber-stamp every high-density project that comes before our towns. He’s stood with communities like Holmdel that want to preserve their suburban character while still growing responsibly,” stated Foster. “And on public safety, Jack has been crystal clear – he’ll back our law enforcement officers and reverse the soft-on-crime policies that have made our communities less safe.”
Ed “The Trucker” Durr criticized Gov. Phil Murphy and four former governors for joining Democratic leader George E. Norcross III at a Cooper Hospital groundbreaking next week.
“The establishment, the old boys’ network, whatever you want to call it has led to the corruption, real or perceived, that average New Jerseyans complain about,” Durr said. “The same establishment is what continues to make New Jersey less affordable every day. I am running for governor to put an end to politics as usual.”
