Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy plan on voting early in-person in Long Branch this Saturday morning, the New Jersey Globe has learned.
Murphy has heavily promoted the state’s first-ever early voting period, which he signed into law in March. But the governor had been mum on whether he would personally take advantage of the extra nine days of voting from October 23 until October 31.
After Murphy votes, he’ll join former President Barack Obama at a 3:30 p.m. rally in Newark, where the two political allies will promote early voting. Two days later, President Joe Biden will be touching down in New Jersey, though his visit is an official one – meaning that the Murphy campaign won’t have to share the cost.
