Gov. Phil Murphy has nominated Newark investment banker Natasha Love Rogers to the University Hospital Board of Directors.

Rogers’ nomination requires signoff from the four Democratic senators representing Essex County and confirmation by the State Senate.

She works in the community finance investment group at Santander Holdings, and serves as the development chair of the Urban League of Essex County.  Rogers also serves on the board of directors of Newark Symphony Hall.

Rogers grew up in Newark and returned there after working at Goldman Sachs and Anheuser-Busch.  She is received dual degrees Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rutgers and Urban Economics from Douglass, and her MBA and law degree from Washington University.
