DuBois endorses Ciattarelli in GOP gubernatorial race

Jack Ciattarelli picked up his fourth county chair endorsement in 24 hours, adding Salem County GOP Chair Linda DuBois to his list of supporters on Tuesday evening.

DuBois had not formally endorsed a candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, but has been viewed as an ally of Doug Steinhardt, the former GOP State Chairman who pulled out of the race on Monday.

“I want to personally express my gratitude to Doug Steinhardt for his friendship and his leadership as the Chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee,” Dubois said.  “Doug helped us expand our County Commission majority in Salem County.”

With Steinhardt out, DuBois joined county chairs in Essex, Passaic and Gloucester in urging Republicans to coalesce behind Ciattarelli.

“Now is the time to focus on defeating Phil Murphy and uniting behind Jack Ciattarelli,” DuBois said.  “Murphy’s policies have raised taxes, crushed our small business economy, and sentenced seniors in our nursing homes to a cruel fate.”

DuBois pointed to Ciattarelli’s record as a small businessman and “solutions-oriented leader who can fix this mess and turn our state around.”

“He understands what matters most in Salem County including the agricultural industry,” she said.  “I am proud to support Jack.”
