Rob Canfield and Edward X. Young are running mates in the race for the Brick Board of Education. Canfield is a youth minister; Young is an actor who appears in softcore pornographic horror films.
Young appears in a soon-to-be released film called Bigfoot Blood Trap. He also directed and appeared in a video called Macabre Faire Presents Edward X. Young, where he kidnaps, beats and tortures a prostitute, uses cocaine, and conducts a sort of satanic ritual. After the video, Young wears a “Make America Great Again” hat while he answers questions about his work.
The school board candidate appears to have become involved in politics in 2016 as a supporter of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to his Facebook page. He led a protest opposing then-gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy last year.
Trump carried Brick by 12,584 votes with 65% of the vote.
Canfield received 190 votes (.88%) as an independent candidate for mayor in 2017.
The Canfield/Young campaign did not immediately respond to a 2:45 PM phone call seeking comment.
