Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino remains in office, with his resignation not effective until October 5, according to a copy of his letter of resignation obtained by the New Jersey Globe.
In a letter to Secretary of State Tahesha Way, Saudino says he took this week off and will return to work next week before his resignation takes effect on Friday.
The letter also calls into question the resignations of several Undersheriffs who had been included in the press release.
Way, on the advice of the Attorney General, had ordered a special election based upon a press release received by her office.
This complicates the already confusing issues regarding Saudino’s departure that requires the reprinting of 40,000 vote-by-mail ballots.
Unfortunately, just more proof that no good deed goes unpunished. Always have to get it in writing.
I wonder we didn’t hear anything from the Bergen County Police Chief Association they endorsed him twice.
Just go already. Pack and go please to your lovely house and wonderful rich family! And let us poor folks grief this disgusting tape of you saying exactly how you feel about us. This is how he always fell you just got caught.
