The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 has endorsed four Democrats — Alexander Mirabella, Andrea Staten, Kimberly Moudad and Rebecca Williams – for Union County freeholder.

“In the current political environment, having elected officials that understand the issues facing working families and organized labor has never been more critical,” said Greg Lalevee, business manager of IUOE 825. “Alex, Andrea and Kim have championed policies that will promote economic development and infrastructure investment, defend labor rights and make New Jersey a better place to live and work. Our members are proud to back them.”

In Bergen County, the union said it was supporting the Democratic candidate for Sheriff, former county NAACP president Anthony Cureton.

“Law enforcement and organized labor have always shared the most important values – professionalism, respect and defending working class men and women. Anthony Cureton embodies all of those values. We are proud to support Anthony in his campaign,” Lalevee said.
