Rosenstein cites need to fight Trump

U.S. Senator Bob Menendez has won the endorsement of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) New Jersey, a union representing more than 70,000 New Jersey families.

“If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that we need a strong voice fighting Donald Trump in Washington.  Whether it’s fighting for the future of the Supreme Court, pushing back on tax giveaways to corporations and the wealthy, or standing up to those seeking to dismantle health care for millions of Americans, Bob Menendez is that voice,” said CWA NJ Director Hetty Rosenstein.  “The very last thing New Jersey needs right now is another out-of-touch CEO who’s given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Trump and personally profited off the backs of cancer victims who need access to life-saving drugs.”

CWA New Jersey represents over 40,000 state workers, 15,000 county and municipal employees, and thousands in the telecommunications and direct-care industries.

“Whether I am fighting to protect healthcare and retirement benefits, to strengthen unions, or to ensure a debt-free future in higher education, I am fighting for New Jersey’s working families and am proud to have the support of CWA New Jersey,” Menendez said. “The stakes in this election couldn’t be higher.  We must provide our hardworking New Jerseyans with the tools they need to succeed. I will continue to fight for better pay, better working conditions, better job training, and better representation of unions. And I will always stand up to Donald Trump and anyone who threatens to roll back workers’ rights and hurt New Jersey families.”
